Our journey takes us from Sopron through cozy farming villages to the Lake Balaton and further on to Budapest. Neat thermal spa resorts invite every now and then to enjoy a relaxing bath.

Sprawling floodplain forests, golden sandbanks, backwaters, islands, bays, thousands of birds migrate through the air or hide in the reeds - this is the wonderful Lake Tisza.

The bike-trail, along the Danube is one of the finest and certainly the most popular cycling route in Europe. The beautiful baroque palace of Schönbrunn - the Austrian Versailles, the delicious Sacher cake on the main street of Vienna, the countless castles and museums, the pristine floodplain of the Danube National Park, the picturesque Danube bend, and finally the Hungarian capital -  Budapest provide an unforgettable experience.

The second stage of the Danube bike-trail has much to offer to the traveller.  The experience biking through the biggest Hungarian flood plain – Gemenc, combined with culture, history, tradition and gastronomy makes this holiday a memorable one! 

This is the last and probably also the most adventurous stage of the Danube Bike route - "EUROVELO 6" between Vienna and Belgrade, which enchants us not only with the beautiful nature, but also has a lot to offer the typical Balkan culture.

Whether it's "Blue Danube" or "blond Tisza" - Hungary's rivers are the lifelines of the mythical country. Join us to explore by bicycle the scenic river landscape along the Tisza, the historic wine region of Tokaj, which is a World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO.

Hungary is the land in the heart of Europe with the largest lake in Central Europe: The "Hungarian Sea" with its almost 600 km2 of water surface and with its 200 km long shoreline is larger than Lake Constance, and owns a very special atmosphere nowhere else to find. 

Probably only a few would know that the Southern Transdanubia – according to its geographical setting – has a unique Mediterranean climate in Hungary. The capital of this region is Pécs which was also the Cultural capital of Europe in 2010.
